Apply for a Resident Permit


  1. Complete the Beach Parking Permit Application

  • Two options exist for completing the application for the Resident Beach Parking Permit. You can download a PDF that can be completed and mailed or submitted in person to the PCI Municipal Services office or complete the Resident Beach Parking Permit application online.  There is a button for both options below.  If downloading the application, you will need to follow the remaining steps below.

2. Attach copies of the required documentation

  • Residential property owner's tax bill or closing documents within Hilton Head Island Town limits
    (This shall include 4 percent, 6 percent, and partial-deed or time-share ownership of greater or equal to 183 days. However, a timeshare with less than 183 days of annual occupancy and properties that are utilized as short-term rentals are NOT eligible to receive a beach parking pass.)

  • A current Residential Rental/Lease agreement with a term greater than or equal to 183 days.

  • Vehicle Registration

  • A valid SC DMV golf cart registration must be provided to obtain a beach parking permit for a golf cart.

Applications submitted without the required documentation will be returned.

3. Include check or money order for $15 per Vehicle payable to PCI-Municipal Services.

4. Mail or drop off your completed application, documentation and payment.

    * Beach parking permits will NOT be available at Town Hall or Facilities Management.
