What are the office hours to apply in person?

PCI’s dedicated office hours are from 9am-1pm Tue, 9am-7pm on Wed, and 9am-1pm on Thu.

Where do I go to apply in person?

PCI’s office is located at 32 Office Park Road, Suite 108, Hilton Head Island, SC 29928. We are in the Courtyard Building off Greenwood Drive across the street from Harris Teeter.

When will I get my decal?

Going forward all permits will be a digital permit based on license plate. Decals will not be provided.

How does the parking permit work? Is it a digital bar code, is it a plate reader or something different? In other words, what do I need for my car?

New technology will now recognize your license plate as a Resident Beach Parking Permit holder and nothing else needs to be done on your end.

How much will the beach parking permit cost?

The cost is $15 per year per vehicle with a maximum of 2 vehicles per address.

Is there a size limit for the document I can upload?

If you receive an error message that the document is too large, please email it to permits@municipalparking.com with your name so we can link it to your account.

I’m having trouble adding my credit card. How do I finalize adding the card?

After entering the credit card information, please make sure to click on the word VERIFY in blue. You can then save the credit card.

How long is the permit valid?

The permit is good for the calendar year, January 1st – December 31st.

Does a golf cart permit count as one of the 2 permits available to property owners?

Yes, a golf cart will be one of the 2 vehicles allowed per address.

How do you log into your account once it’s created?

To access your account and make any changes please go to https://app.parklync.com/login.

Is there an app I can download?

There is no app currently available.

How long will it take to get my permit approved?

Due to the large volume of applications, we are attempting to approve all applications within 24-72 hours.

Will I have to apply for a beach parking permit every year?

Yes, it is an annual permit that will require an application each year.

What information do I need to apply?

You will need to show proof of residency within Hilton Head Island Town limits. To satisfy this requirement you can use your current tax bill, closing document of your residence within Hilton Head Island, or a current Hilton Head Island residential rental/lease agreement with a term greater than 183 days. We will also need to see your current vehicle registration along with your driver’s license.

How will I know my plate is working/approved?

You will receive a confirmation email when your application is approved.
